Taylor Ann Meckley is an artist & creative based in Los Angeles.

Working primarily with oil on canvas, her practice explores softness, memory, and the emotional charge of familiar objects. Her newest figurative works center on porcelain-like animal forms, drawing from childhood experiences spent in Texas, where she grew up around horses, deer, ranch landscapes, and the quiet rituals of collecting and observing.

Taylor’s paintings evoke dreamlike spaces where innocence and strength coexist. Rendered with a soft, luminous quality, her figurines appear at once nostalgic and difficult to place: part keepsake, part apparition, part relic from a memory that has softened over time. Horses, deer, lambs, and other familiar creatures become studies in fragility, temperament, and the strange tenderness of powerful things.

Influenced by her love of storytelling, each piece feels like a still from a world just beyond reach— fleeting, intimate, and emotionally charged.
